// about

The hand at the wheel.

// who

Mark D'Adamo — @stormbreaker9000— is a developer based in western Canada. By day he works on Next.js applications and Databricks data pipelines; by evening on Claude plugin tooling and developer infrastructure.

This site is where the field notes live. Posts cover the actual work: what broke, what fixed it, what I'd do differently. No frameworks-as-religion takes, no hot-take harvest — just logbook entries from someone who'd rather ship than speculate.

// now

Currently building out the Claude Code plugins ecosystem and shipping the next round of infrastructure posts. Deep in Databricks certification prep on the side.

AI tooling & the Claude ecosystem

Plugin development, MCP servers, and agentic workflows — what it means to build serious developer tooling on top of Claude Code. The ecosystem is new enough that most of it is still being figured out in public.

Web craft & design

Next.js, design systems, editorial type. The craft of building things that feel considered. This site is as much a project in this category as it is a writing platform.

// projects

Two active projects right now. Both are open source.

  • Eye of the Storm — This site. Design, architecture, and build notes for a Next.js writing platform.
  • Claude Code Plugins — Exploring the Claude Code plugin ecosystem: building, publishing, and maintaining superpowers.

// this site

Built on Next.js 15 with MDX for content. The theme system is hand-stitched — no component library, just CSS custom properties and careful typographic choices. The hero artwork is original, painted in a pirate-cove daydream. Source is on GitHub.
